Hi,
first I have to apologize for my english. I want to ask about flying from cliffs or canyons.
Do you have idea or you did try what happen if you set up maximum heigh/altitude eg. 500 feet and you stay on a cliff or canyon eg, 700 feet above ground and you realise your birdie (Mavic)? One second is 7 feet above ground and another second 700 feet but maximum allowed heigh in your remote controller is set up for lower heigh? What will the dron do?
Thank´s
Martin

The Mavic always references its height to your take off point, which it takes as zero. So, when you fly over the canyon the Mavic will just fly normally even though you're 700 feet above the ground in the canyon. If you fly down into the canyon, the app will show your height with a negative value as it's related to your take off point.

The Mavic only knows how high it is above the takeoff location. If it's 100 feet in the air when you fly over the cliff, it'll still be 100 feet in the air.
