Flying in Miami and Orlando Florida

Gday All,

I am an Australian who will be visiting Miami and Orlando in October this year.
Am wanting to get some advice about flying in these areas.

I did apply and Pay for FAA Registration a couple of months ago but apparently that is no longer required,(do I get my Money Back? LOL)
and seems rules change daily.

Would love to get some airtime whilst in Florida so any advice would be welcome.

A lot of news sources make it seem like it's no longer required, but it seems the new ruling will not become effective until at least July 5, 2017. See more details from John Taylor (the guy who started the case) here.
