Just had an idea that DJI may wish to consider in the next generation of Mavic.
Why not have an integral clamp it could be as simple as a thin metal rod which operates mechanically, from a slider "switch" on the side of the unit, and into the Gimbal. The switch has an electronic sensor which denies power on and alerts user via audible/visual warning if it is still in place.
Benefits are twofold. Zero damage/returns due to inadvertently leaving clamp in place and the convenience of easily preparing for flight.
