Going to be in Rockville Maryland next week.Where are interesting places to fly my Mavic Air 2 in that area?

I am going to be in Rockville Maryland next week for a few days starting 3/25/21.Can any one recommend interesting locations to fly my Mavic Air 2 in the surrounding areas...Some recommendation esp when the light is good would be appreciated

Hi Julius,

In case you weren’t aware, the entire Washington, D.C. metro area is restricted airspace per a Notice To Airmen that expires in 28 years (and will probably renew then).



Your best bet is to head out of town a little bit, as you’ll see beautifully forested views of Western Maryland and Northern Virginia. I recall seeing bridges over various rivers out there, too. Consult with our fellow forum members out there in the Local & Regional section for Maryland.
