Google Pixel 6 compatibility

Wondering if anybody heard anything about DJI GO4 being compatible with Google Pixel 6 in the near future.
I have Mavic 2 Pro and bought without knowing about this issue, a Pixel 6 two months ago. I have been grounded and waiting patiently since. With the Smart Controller being discontinued I find the idea of buying an older phone just to fly the a bit of a non sense. So I’m wondering if it worth waiting or if I should start looking at replacing the drone, which If my feeling toward DJI doesn’t change will be from a competitor.
