I think the point is whether you'll be able to get the Karma!!I don't know what all the commotion is about.
They are 2 very different products.
One only has to see that hilarious clip with the snowboarder doing his thing with a bulky backpack, pretending like it is nothing for advertising purposes, to understand the different nature of the 2 beasts.

I was wanting to put a GoPro 5 one on my Phantom 2 or my AD-1 with DJI gimbal.... but GoPro changed the dimensions and the type of interface plug.... GoPro ain't having any of that!only a matter of time before someone slaps a gopro on a Mavic anyway
Does that mean that they too are struggling to keep up and may deliver later than promised?Got to give it to GoPro[emoji769] for the tweet...
Guess you could call it Karma!!
I think it's a tongue in cheek response to DJI.... BUT I think they will struggle too.Does that mean that they too are struggling to keep up and may deliver later than promised?

I think they probably overestimated demand. If they struggle it will probably not be "incredible demand" that causes issues, but a continuation of their incredible delays in getting their much hyped drone developed and to the market.I think it's a tongue in cheek response to DJI.... BUT I think they will struggle too.
Well to be fair, the Mavic camera has no mike at all, so complaining about that here is silly. The Hero 5 has some unhappy reviewers on Amazon.
At this stage I don't think there's a way to use an external mic with it which is hard to believe.
The previous models used the mini USB socket but its C type now I think - so no adapters yet, or maybe it won't be possible and will have to use bluetooth.
Then a recent firmware which is supposed to allow hero 4 to communicate with Karma gimbal is also causing problems.
Well, to be fair, one of the selling points of the Karma is having a removable, fully functioning, camera and gimbal for video and sound on the ground.Well to be fair, the Mavic camera has no mike at all, so complaining about that here is silly.
Well to be fair, you should also mention that they both are small drones but don't occupy the same niche.Well, to be fair, one of the selling points of the Karma is having a removable, fully functioning, camera and gimbal for video and sound on the ground.
I approve this message.Well to be fair, you should also mention that they both are small drones but don't occupy the same niche.
Well to be fair, I just wanted to continue the string of well to be fairs...
I have DJI Inspire so I know a sexy drone when I see it!! I also know a huge backpack when I see it, try lugging the Inspire one to a location.... But I love my GoPros™ and will be buying at least one 5 if not a couple for Dashcam, bike and general stuff.
The build quality of both systems I can't say until get hands on but I have a OSMO and thats pretty slick too, so I'm thinking the kids at DJI™ won't disappoint in the area!
My bug is this is like the 3rd **** up by DJI™, or down right lie!! I promised myself the next drone is going to be DIY then I decide how small and compact.
As it stands I trust GoPro™ to get a system to market and not ********, I can't say that about DJI™
Just as a side note...GoPro & DJI were suppose to partner and develop/produce a drone, but DJI backed out because GoPro wanted a larger portion of the $.
