GPS SPOOFING RESOLUTION

So all of you commenting that it wouldnt affect your flight when gps spooling/hack its on, have no idea whats happening to the drone. I live in Cyprus and the gps attacks affects us when we are near the sea.
What happen is: lets say you have correct gps before you take off. You take off and you are good and flying, then gps attack get you. you sattelites goes to 0 and then 10 or whatever number and you are in the center of beirut airport. dji fly pops up a warning saying tha you have 100s to land as you are flying in a restricted area and you are actually flying in atti mode (but drone thinks you are in gps, but the gps is always the same position so it doesnt give any feedback to correct wind or speed). sometimes the lebanon gps glitches a bit so it not always the same position so that bring it back to the flight controller to randomly do some minor twitches in the air to try to fix what it think it moves.
No problem so far. we can of course land and fly in Atti.
The problem is THIS!!!
As soon as your drone gets correct location from where you are. The position lock of the dji system is trying to take your drone to the last position that it was before. So for my side from Lebanon to go back to Cyprus. Theres absolutely nothing that you can do except go up and down. The drone just goes full speed and it tries to go like 200+km away, nothing can stop it as said before its not trying to go back to home position but it tries to go back to where it was 2seconds ago, correclty saying where the drone though it was 2seconds ago. The only way to that drone to be saved its to get 0 satellites again in the air and then you get full control and can land as soon as possible. I havent tried it to see what happens when there is an obstacle and vision sensors works.

This happen to me in more than 5 times to fully understand the problems and I managed to to some tests like taking of from my hand and as soon as the gps happens to grap the drone and change modes and move the sticks around to see whats happening. on my tests. after some time the dji fly app comes with an error system navigation error, where the drone just stops using angle mode and it goes in a kinda acro mode with angle limitation to 45degrees, but the sticks are just so random, the yaw might do roll and the roll might do half yaw and pitch, and whatever movement you do and leave the sticks the drone stays at that position, it doesnt go back to level.
I was in Cyprus (Ayia Napa) in April and had the same thing happen where satellites suddenly dropped out so I descended quickly to 20 metres. Satellite signal returned.

The tests where done on mavic 3 pro and mini 3 pro. On the mini I could replace the sport and add atti mode. when i was flying atti it was okay but after that the location changed to beirut and then again back to cy, the system navigation came up and it was all crazy. And even when switching modes at that time nothing was changing on the drone. I want to do more tests. like what happens if i keep it all the time atti.
thats what i meant have you tried taking off in atti mode and staying in it as if you were canceling gps control from the begining and do u know if i can replace the sport mode with atti on the mavic 4 pro thanks for your help my friend summer is here and being a drone operator in lebanon has become riskier than ever

I watched a few videos exposed to GPS spoofing. The scenario goes like this; The drone connects to a sufficient number of satellites on the ground and takes off. However, when it rises to approximately 50 meters, the number of connected satellites drops rapidly and becomes 0. Then the device is exposed to the fake GPS signal and the number of satellites appears to be around 10-15. But now the homepoint becomes an airport kilometers away, the device says "nfz" It warns, "Leave the area immediately" and starts counting down from 90. During that time, sometimes the drone does not implement the control commands even though your connection is not lost. It does not give a warning that it has switched to atti mode. If it sometimes implements the control commands and you cannot leave the GPS spoofing area at that moment, the device waits for 90 seconds. It descends inside and is generally destroyed. Or it flies quickly to the homepoint and the control connection is lost, and if the device flies to the fake homepoint until the battery runs out and does not hit anything, it starts to land and lands. Of course, since the control connection is lost due to the increasing distance, the user does not even know where to look for the drone.

GPS spoofing can make the drone think it is at a fake location, but it can't change the homepoint.

There is no fake homepoint, but if the drone is getting fake location data, the course it would fly from the fake location to the homepoint, won't send the drone in the correct direction to reach the homepoint.

Yes, you are right in my opinion, but I think the users deleted the videos, I cannot find them.

ANYONE WITH AN IDEA FOR A SOLUTION WHERE ARE THE DRONE EXPERTS EHHEHEHE???, THINGS ARE WOST THAN EVER HERE IN LEBANON MWAWHILE WE R FULLY BOOKED FOR WORK THIS SUMMER . IT SEEMS LIKE EVERY SHOOTING DAY IS AN ADVENTURE OF ITS OWN AND DRONES ARE CRASHING DAILY
NOW THE THE IM SURE ABOUT IS THAT THE MINI 4 PRO IS LESS PRONE TO THIS ISSUE THAN THE MAVIC 3 I DONT KNOW WHY
BUT SERIOUSLY WHAT SHOULD WE DO CAN THERE BE A SOFTWARE OR SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP ?
THANK YOU GUYS

There's no reason why that would be.
They have the same GPS receiver and use GPS exactly the same way.

No there's no software or other simple solution.

How is it that drones are crashing?
What causes the crash?

as our friend kursat26 mentioned above "Or it flies quickly to the homepoint and the control connection is lost, and if the device flies to the fake homepoint until the battery runs out and does not hit anything, it starts to land and lands."
most of the time the drone will crash into something and this has happened now more than 10 times

well i dont know if its the same gps receiver but im sure the mavic 4 pro is dealing better with the issue to a certain degree of course because mavic 4 pros have crashed the only difference is that they need to be above 50 m in the sky while the mavic 3 catches the error from any height

is there a way to change from gps to galileo or the russian satellite system ? can installing an range extender like the alientech help ?would that help? excuse my ignorance guys but im trying to imagine a solution cause the matter is urging and sooner or later some reckless pilot will cause a catastrophy crashing at full speed into a car or a person since most people still fly their drones ignoring the risks and our beloved goverment acts as if theres nothing of concern as they normally do in lebanon

When the drone starts flying to the wrong area, it is necessary to switch to atti mode and bring the drone closer to your field of vision. Because the systems that mislead the GPS signal are very powerful and interfere with the drone from kilometers away.

as our friend kursat26 mentioned above "Or it flies quickly to the homepoint and the control connection is lost, and if the device flies to the fake homepoint until the battery runs out and does not hit anything, it starts to land and lands."
I'm still not sure how the homepoint can be changed, because the drone saves it soon after powering on.
I've never seen a case where the stored homepoint is changed unless the flyer resets the homepoint.

Perhaps the issue is that the drone is trying to fly from it's new fake location towards the stored homepoint, but because of the faked location data it doesn't fly towards the spot where it was launched.
If you can supply flight data from any incidents where this has happened I could look into it and find out more.
most of the time the drone will crash into something and this has happened now more than 10 times
If the cause is as I suggested above, a possible remedy might be to reset the home point to the drone's location as soon as it's noticed.
The flight data should help to confirm whether this would actually help
When the drone starts flying to the wrong area, it is necessary to switch to atti mode and bring the drone closer to your field of vision.
When a drone has selectable Atti Mode, it doesn't use GPS for position holding, but still uses GPS to keep track of where it is and RTH would still work.
If the issue is as I outlined above, switching to Atti Mode wouldn't stop the drone from flying off towards where it thinks the homepoint is if fake location data indicates that the battery level is not enough to get to where it thinks the home point is.

There is no homepoint change in the screenshots I have accessed. However, at the moment of signal intervention, the number of connected satellites decreases rapidly and drops to zero. When the fake location signal deceives the drone, it may mark the fake homepoint location when it finds a sufficient number of GPS. In the image I shared, the drone seems to have gone from Turkey to Ukraine in about 13 minutes :) Of course it's not actually like that.

So far I've only seen data to show the number of sats dropping to zero.
Can you post recorded flight data from this incident?
It would help a lot to be able to see what's actually happening.

There are a couple of options ...

1. Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer | Phantom Help
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
That will give you a detailed report on the flight data.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides and someone might be able to analyse it and give you an understanding of the cause of the incident.
or
2. Just post the .txt file here
or
3. If you use Airdata, you can view the flight data on Airdata and post a link for the Airdata report

If you are using one of the controllers with an integrated screen, the txt files are to be found here:
Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord

hi two days ago 2 friends of mine lost their drones to spoofing one mavic 3 mini and one mavic 3 pro
the first one landed ina pool and isnt working anymore and the second one crahed to a building
ill try to provide the log files maybe this can help

Şu ana kadar sadece uydu sayısının sıfıra düştüğünü gösteren veriler gördüm.
Bu olaya ait kayıtlı uçuş verilerini yayınlayabilir misiniz?
Gerçekte ne olduğunu görebilmek çok yardımcı olacaktır.

Birkaç seçenek var...

Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord
These flights do not belong to me, they are events I came across on social media. Unfortunately, there are no flight records.

...hi every one, i had just a very similar scenario several days ago, am far away from the location of the war zone of the middle east,
( (but i have been to that crazy country u described Lebanon-i love the people there- but its a big crazy park i drove the car once in the city u all need to drive in atti mode :p o_O with motor cycles comming from every where))
i was flying in a country area in Armenia and the exact remedy of death faced my drone
i quote this from the friend from cyprus here :

but i managed to fly it back , now am asking on several threads for ideas on this and will reply here incase i find any beneficial ideas...
one more thing though the two locations are far away (ur location and mine) but i think some one very brilliant in drones and especially dji filming drones is behind this cause he designed a neat way to make the drone kill its self ... as i was searching u tube on this i found some one making tests on a Mavic with the anti drone gun

as u can see in video at most the signal is lost and the drone rth but in our cases it was much more evil designed to kill the drone
am sorry for ur filming season as most events are better filmed in this weather rather than in winter every where, hopefully some one can help!!!

i dont think anyone is trying to target drones specifically whats happening is that the israely army is using a mass gps spoofing making the location of all gps devices in the middle east area show beirut international airport so that gps using missles or drones cannot target its land yet the only side that has been really affected by this attack is us commercial drone useres because others like hezbollah or commercial airplanes startet using technologies different than gps and all is well for them / that aside i have the log files on my hand yet i dont know how to upload them to a pc they are on the receiver if the drone that crashed can anyone help me upload them here what should i do connect the receiver to the pc and open dji assistant ?
