Hacking the Crystal Sky Monitor to accept 3rd party apps!

Anyone have an idea on how to do this?
We need to operate 3rd party apps and the CS doesn't allow it. Boo hoo DJI!
The DJI go app is just awful for waypoints and follow me!

Do a google search the hack is out there and it works for some third party apps and not others. I tried to use it for my hover passport and while I got the app installed and launched, camera connected by wifi, the flying dashboard would not launch. Something about a permissions file on the hover app that can’t be changed. This was all over my head but some nice chap walked me through it. It does work with my YUNEEC Breeze though.

We have a thread over in Phantom Pilots about installing 3rd party apps on a P4P+ remote controller. I haven't tried it on a CrystalSky display, but I'm assuming the same would work.
