Hi everyone. Just bought a new DJI Mavic Mini after months of research. Finally found a deal on Black Friday that was too good to pass up. Looking forward to interacting with fellow drone enthusiasts and learning as much as I can about this enjoyable hobby.

Hi GaBlue good to have you join us...did you get Mini....or Mini 2?...If you aren't familiar with getting your TRUST Certificate to be in good standing with FAA, just ask

I got the Mini 1. Already obtained the TRUST Certificate. Only flown it once (about 4 minutes). Even though i got it at a great price, I'm still a bit paranoid about wrecking it. : )

I know exactly what you are going through...Until you get more accustomed to it, take it to wide open areas where there are no trees if possible ...get some practice and really familiarize yourself with how the Return to home feature works, and keep your eye on how much battery time you have remaining...good luck and safe flying

Get accustomed to flying simple patterns with the drone facing away and facing toward you. The "opposite" controls when it's pointed toward you is a little awkward at first. Have fun.
