Hello everyone, i am from Malaysia and i just bought my frist Drone. Can i have some tips on how to avoid unnecessary attention ?

I would like to be stealthy during take off , flying & landing because i do not wish any locals to call the cops.

Thanks

Welcome to Mavic Pilots from Dayton Ohio USA! Best way to avoid attention is to take off in a remote area and immediately fly to about 75 meters, nobody will really notice it from that height. Fly safe and have fun!

Hi! Welcome. I'm from Ipoh. Now residing in Florida. I heard cops in KL are using anti drone guns. Not sure how true. But just be aware when flying.

Here's a link: Zap pesky drones with this sci-fi like radio gun - Tech News | The Star Online

The signal jamming gun is real, but they cost 25k dollars, the police wont have that much budget. On the go and they wont spot you 100 metres up.

But what does find you easily is the dji aeroscope which recieve dji’s own product’s signals like your drone and find your location

When flying in Malaysia, you should fly:
  • at a maximum altitude of 122 m above the ground.
  • within 30 m of any person during take-off or landing & respect individuals' privacy.
  • at least 50 m away from people or 150 m from large crowds (1,000).
  • at least 4.5 km away from airports.
  • away from areas where its use could interfere with police or first responders.
  • fly within day light, in good weather conditions & within your sight at all times.
  • do not fly your drone in sensitive areas such as government or military facilities.
  • do not fly over driving vehicles to not distract drivers.
I've completed my research about drone use in Malaysia last week :)
