Help me with some ideas

hi guys I have a problem that maybe you guys can help me. the picture attached shows my mav mount with my crystal sky monitor. however with the lanyard clip blocking the usb C port, I can use it as an option. Do you guys recommend maybe getting someone to make another lanyard clip that will allow me to use that port? let me know what you guys think, I really would like to use that port if possible.

If the Lanyard Clip is metal you can slowly bend it away and down and make enough clearance. Only thing is that if the clip is made of pot metal it will just break off when you attempt it. If it is plastic you can heat it with a heat gun and slowly deform it to bend it down as well.

Either that or search for a 3 D printed alternative.

I am not familiar with MavMount but is there enough room for a right-angle plug?

I bought the MavMount with no lanyard. Here’s what I did. Put a small piece of SS 1/16 “ cable around the swivel neck and use that to attach the lanyard. Uses very little space. Had the cable laying around from another project. You just crimp the two ends together. See pics.

I'm not sure how it would affect the balance, but what if you put the lanyard loop under the ball mount and on top of the plate? You would probably have to replace the socket screw with a longer one.

Hey BD thanks for your assistance. I think I will use one off these clips that should be almost perfect. It should allow the USB C to fit through it.
