How do I de-register my drone, for sale?

There’s nothing to de-register. The new owner just needs to install DJI GO, log into their DJI account, and fly.

When you register with the faa your not registering the drone but yourself hench forth there isn't any thing left to do.

This does bring up an interesting point however. With the new registration rules if you sell your drone you should remove the external FAA markings on it because that number is only registered to you if you're not registered under rule 107.

That’s a solid point since the FAA registrar is for the individual human person, not the drone.

As I understand it:
If you register as a hobbyist only under part 336, then the egistration is attached to you, not the drone. Nothing to deregister. But if you registered it under part 107, then it is drone specific, and tied to you. I think you would need to remove the drone from your part 107 dashboard at FAAdronezone.gov.
