how far can you go with goggles?

Trying to post this here because I didn't get much in the help forum.
What's the furthest anyone has flown their Mavic with the goggles before losing video feed to the goggles?

I haven't tested *YET* but I recently read someone was 1KM out before they started having trouble with their Goggles.

The furthest i went out with goggles was 1.5 kilometers, last Sunday. Video feed was still excellent, even if the environment i was flying in had a lot of wi-fi traffic.

I've only been able to go a few feet with the goggles before running into a wall or a tree. It's really hard to see through those things. Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Back to the more serious responses...

I'm trying to see what actual range I should get with them. I went out just over a mile (around 1.7km) and started losing video. It was line of sight too, open field. It sure would be nice to go further since I had plenty of range left.

My phone was connected to the RC, and the RC to the Mavic.

I was out more than 1.5km without problems in CE mode. Just ensure you don't leave direct line of sight.

Oddly enough, I was out flying with @Thunderdrones today and I lost signal to the RC before I lost signal with the goggles. . While the RC was struggling to remain connected, the Goggles retained a perfect video transmission. It turns out I was flying near some very tall signal towers.

They both use Ocusync yes. I suspect that the Goggles only transmit to the remote though, it only needs to receive long range.

Interesting thought! I guess there's only one way to check - turn off the remote (set signal lost behavior to Hover beforehand) and try to control Mavic from the Goggles.

2.5 miles (4km) with no issues. flew line of sight at 200ft out into a bay in the central coast of California. only lost 1 bar on the RC.
