Hello guys! Happy New Years! :)

Temperatures are low and Mavic batteries need to be warm to fly.

I’ve found this easy and quick solution to heating up batteries in cold weather! I also cover what DJI recommends how to properly heat them up.

Apart from this, your last resort can be putting the battery in the inside pocket of your jacket to transfer some body heat.

Enjoy the video! Cheers! :D

You can also heat up your batteries very simply by putting a Hot Water on top of your case/bag while travelling this will heat the contents & you will be able to fly straight away on arrival at your location.
Happy New Year

Is there an ideal battery temp? Or is moreso +10 deg to +40(guesses) are all the same?

Last night(before sunset) I did 3 flights in 35-39 Celsius ambient temperatures and the batteries lasted a little longer than I’d normally expect.

In cold weather regardless of how warm my batteries feel/have been kept I always start the motors and leave them running for a couple of minutes before taking off.

Just makes sure they are up to operating temperature internally.
