Mavic Air 2 owner from northern Idaho (Worley/Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls) learning everything I can, and this site looks like a fantastic resource. Excited to share experiences with others and learn from the pros.

Thought I might append this from my actual first post... that was in a different thread:

Hello to the forum. New Mavic Air 2 user here, purchased with the intent of using it for professional photography & videography. Previously owned a DJI Phantom 3 Standard that I bought used. I was never overly impressed with it (I think it had a controller/antenna issue), life got in the way, and I never pursued it to the extent I had planned. Then for Christmas, I got my son the Mavic Mini in a package from Costco. I was completely shocked at how much the technology had improved in such a short period of time, that I decided to spring for the MA2. I'm still definitely a n00b, but flying every day and learning as I go. So far, I am really impressed

Here are some things to help you get started with your Mavic Air 2:
  • The current Mavic Air 2 manual can be downloaded here (it doesn't come in the box). Other important documents can be found on the Mavic Air 2 downloads page.

  • Check out this getting started guide for some tips not found in the Mavic Air 2 manual.

  • This video covers all the basics of the Mavic Air 2.

  • Your drone batteries will last longer if you use and maintain them like this.

  • Practice flying outdoors in a wide open location that's free of all obstacles. Don't attempt to fly inside your house or in other confined locations.

  • The drone records flight data each time you fly. You can decrypt and view those flight logs with these tools.

  • Check out MavicHelp.com for commonly used accessories you might need.

Welcome to Mavic Pilots! :) Enjoy the forum!Thumbswayup

So... do most people save all of this log data? Is it important enough to spend money on an app? If you can download the flight data and show it on a map, can you then easily replicate the same flight path with one of the apps like Litchi?

As for manuals, I’m an RTM kinda guy. Made three printed and bound versions before I even flew ?
