IMU and Compass calibrate

I can’t seem to get my Mavic to calibrate the IMU or compass.
Idk if it’s because of recent update or what..
I think it flew well after the update to aircraft 1.04.0500
Now tho I get a compass 1 disconnected message.
The IMU seems ok but if I take off and fly then yaw or anything
The Mavic just keeps drifting.
A couple times it switched into atti mode..
I know I’m calibrating right and even tried different
Devices.
iPad mini5 and iPhone XR..
The go 4 Pp version is 4.3.38
I don’t have a computer to use assistant 2 so any ideas?

Your probably getting too much magnetic interference to calibrate the compass.
Go to an open area ( a park) away from any structures that can cause magnetic interference e.g.

What happens in the compass calibrating process, does it just say "compass calibration failed" after you go through all the motions ?
It's not clear if you said the IMU calibration was successful ?

In the IMU page, are the IMU's showing errors ?

My ma2 was all over the place when hovering after last updated
No errors on the screen so decided to do compass and imu calibration
Both failed to calibrate several times so I moved my location as there was power lines about 50 yards away.
Again wouldn't calibrate
In total tried a dozen or more times.
Was thinking that's it send it back to DJI and won't see it again for months.
One last try I said to myself and both calibrated fine.
Instant fix on the wandering problem

No. The IMU page shows perfectly normal..
If I take off tho and fly a bit the mav drifts badly and I get compass error messages in red sometimes.
I only fly it a very short distance so I can see what’s happening..
Do u think the new update is screwed up?

Are you flying in the same place when you get compass errors, or does it happen everywhere you fly ?

Compass 1 is at the back of the Mavic Pro and is a discrete unit. You need to get it’s connections checked.

Ok. I recently replaced the gimbal ribbon and maybe something unplugged.
wow I hadn’t thought of that..
