My videos show early morning times but I was not up & about at that time (zzzz!). They have 6ish AM time stamps. Then the stills (.jpg) look like they are the correct time at about 1 or 2 PM when I was actually flying my MP. I thought the GPS would always insert the correct time on my SD card's videos & still pictures. Any ideas what is wrong?

So this is a MP?

Mine Mavic Pro Platinum was doing this and somewhere in the settings my Time Zone was wrong. I think it was exactly 6 hours IIRC but it's been a good while.

Don't know where those "settings" would be. But why would the .jpg times be correct but the .mp4 times be off...???

Hi @Drgnflli;

I'm having the exact same problem with my MPP.

The first two files SHOULD be stamped 3/20/2020 about 06:49 AM. It looks like either the aircraft clock is off by 6 hours, or (as someone else suggested) my time zone is incorrect.

The time on my iPad (used with the Mavic) is correct, I checked that.

Is there a timezone setting on the MPP RC?

This appears to still be an issue and is one of the reasons I really don’t enjoy the drone anymore. Ironically every GOPRO camera I ever owner exhibited this exact behavior too. Always called a “bug” and has never been resolved. I bought a GOPro 7 shot one video and noticed the incorrect time stamp and returned it immediately.

I noticed this on my GoPro Hero 7 as well. Side note: my DJI Osmo Action camera has no such problem (at least not in Windows 10).

More info: I just noticed that when I look at the SD card directly in Windows 10, the date/time is correct. When I transfer the files to my hard drive, the date/time changed to an incorrect value! WTH?

The correct date/time is on the top one (which is the SD card). The wrong time is the bottom one (which is the external HD).

Check your phone or tablet that is running the flight app. If your phone time or date is incorrect as well as your "phone's" compass calibration is incorrect it will cause issues.
