Ipad mini 4 setting to prevent device from charging controller?

Thank you Kilrah. Just thought it strange that both started fully charged, yet the mini used so much more battery than the controller. Just got the Ipad so perhaps that's just the nature of the beast!

The GO4 app is pretty much as demanding of the mobile device as any app gets, so yeah it drains quick.

Are you using the USB port on the bottom of the controller or the one one the side that you use to charge the controller? Does it matter? Good question.

IOS Devices do not take from or feed the controller battery. Android device get charged from the controller, so any Apple device is safe, they just use a lot when displaying all that info and powering the DJI App.

Actually there's a setting to allow or disallow iOS device charging in the app.
I thought the default was to charge.

Are you sure you don't mean Android, because I am almost positive (99%) that no Apple device will not allow a charge or discharge through the controller. It is possible with an Android though.
