iPadd Mini 2 will not connect to controller or Mavic Pro

I just purchased an ipad mini 2 to use as a screen for DJI Go 4 and it is not connecting. It appears that the port on the iPad is not working or maybe it is the brand new IOS upgrade that breaks something with the connection. Is anyone else having similar problems??

Have you tried different cables?

yes - using the usb port on the bottom center of the controller with 2 different cables and using the mini usb port on the side of the controller. no connection or any acknowledgement that there is a controller connected DJI go 4 program looks exactly the same when the controller is connected as when it is not connected.

Make sure the side cable is removed if you are using the bottom usb port.
