1 causeway Street
South River , nj

We will fly south from the small park at the end of Causeway street. Due to the remote location and many abandoned structures the South River Police patrol the area regularly. They have asked that we avoid the cell tower, community park, inhabited South River, and any fisherman. All of that is north of our meeting spot.

The location includes great views of Conrail swivel bridge (still in use) , marinas, abandoned yacht, and many structures along the shore abandoned since pass hurricanes.

I’m hoping not to many lol... right now 6 of us are going..

I know three are very responsible but I always worry when new people are flying. If I’m hosting using meetup I feel liable for others flying behavior. Not sure how it works legally but I’m definitely going speak up if anyone does anything dangerous.. Also don’t want to get banned from flying there. It’s a nice spot..

One more thing... if you plan on making it to bridge you will need strobes to maintain vlos.. it’s a couple thousand feet south of where we will be.

use to live in Sayreville now live in Montana. I remember when the bridge was a draw bridge and the causeway frequently flooding due to extraordinary high tides.

Lol They found dinosaurs too!!! For real in clay pits... also heard about people being hung on Old Spy Road l, and pirate gold on the beach between Morgan marina and South Amboy park lol seriously
