Just curious, is the Mauna Loa eruption and lava flow a no fly zone?

The FAA Sector map for the island shows that there are TFRs in place (inside of the thick red lines) for parts of the island:



Its worth noting that there are also flight restrictions in the National Park areas (blue line with dots on the inside) as well.

I guess that's over the lave stream etc.? Is the, what I assume is a road, just above the number "6758" the one thay fear may be cut?

Yes, that's the main east-west road from Hilo to Kona. If its closed, you have to detour along the southern coast.

Um, it’s a National Park even before you get to the latest TFRs. It’s illegal to launch or operate from within Volcanoes National Park!

Only the top of Mauna Loa is National Park. The rest of the flow has been restricted from overflights by TFR's having been up into place.
