I am about to purchase a new laptop. Looking for recommendations of what to get so that its capable of editing my mavic air 4k video's.

Dedicated graphics, SSD disk (preferably second drive for scratch disk), plenty of RAM and 4K screen if you can get it.

Laptops are an expensive proposition for editing 4K.

Dedicated video (nvidia 1050 or better etc). A minimum 8th generation i7 CPU. A good, fast SSD. Minimum 16gb RAM.

A high end gaming laptop or Dell XPS15 etc will do it.

It wont be cheap.

Or, you could purchase a late model iPad. I bought the 10.5” iPad Pro a couple of years ago, and it’s a real work horse. I use it as a flight monitor, and with apps like LumaFusion for video editing and Affinity Photo for photo editing, it can do it all.

Look at Lenova for a solid stable laptop. I have the Yoga 720 with 4K screen and fitted a1T SSD.
