So I just got this legs extender to raise the drone higher, I like the cut out on the front legs which makes it aerodynamic and light weight also it folds normal without having to take them off like other leg extenders, supposedly by the manufacturer it only weighs 19 grams.

Has anyone had good luck with these? I know not to put pressure when putting in the battery

Looks sharp great job
I’m am new still looking into accessories like the red

I have very similar if not the same legs on my Mini 2... PGYTech brand. I wish I could find similar legs for my Mavic 2 Pro. I am super happy with them on the Mini. Never fly outdoors without them.

Please share with me/us the need/benefit of leg extenders. Do you land in grass without a landing pad? I have been flying my MA2 for over six months and nearly 20 hours and have done quite well with standard legs. Thanks for sharing.

I tried the leg extensions. I wasn’t comfortable with the front leg fitment. Didn’t seem secure enough.

Picked up one of these landing skids off of Amazon. Works great.

1) If you mount the strobe on the bottom in all likelihood you’ll want to elevate the bottom of the drone. See photos posted above.

2) There are going to be moments when using a landing pad isn’t convenient. If you’re taking off or landing on grass it keeps your drone from becoming a Weedwhacker. If you’re on a hard surface having the drone elevated slightly can help keep some of the dust in debris from blowing up into the motors.

Of course the landing pad is better but it isn’t always convenient to throw one out. There have been times when I just needed to get my drone up in the air in a hurry I didn’t have a spot in which to properly put a landing pad down. And while I appreciate that some folks may not see a need for leg extensions for me it’s the opposite and essential equipment where I can’t see flying without them. Consequently the ones that I use most regularly are those that I can keep on semi-permanently.

I've stood my drone up on supports and looked to see what the gimbal would clear and I just can't see enough clearance to feel as comfortable as I do with simple hand recovery.
Love that red color :)
