Liability Insurance for European Trip (resident of the US)

Forum members,
we're headed to Europe this summer for a couple of weeks and I'd like to take the drone (Mavic 2 Pro). I've been scouring the interwebs and have found a TON of info that seems to be outdated, applies only to commercial operators, or it only pertains to coverage for pilots who reside in Europe. All of the apps I use here in the US will provide regulatory/safety maps across the pond, but the insurance is not valid outside the US.

Has anyone living in the states found a solution aside from the IRDA annual coverage which would cost me $390 when I only need it for 14 days. (IDRA Plan)

$1mil (assuming it's US$) liability isn't a lot, I've noted some countries requiring PL insurance and usually a lot higher cover, so not sure that would cover you in any country for any such requirement.

It's noted that some countries are requiring PL insurance for hobbyists, a real worry if this starts to get adapted into more countries as time goes on.
There are almost no specialised World cover type offers I know of, particularly short term for travel.

Some smart insurer will hopefully see the opportunity and bring out short term drone liability cover, like the travel insurance you have available for a month, 60 days, 90 days, or other term.

In the UK possibly, not sure if it covers mainland Europe ?
It doesn't look like it would.
Or the cover level in GBP ?
Just had a quick skim through, so this might be there.

there will be new European regulations starting July 2020

(only a few words in Dutch, rest is English)

ps. UK isn't part of the European Community anymore.
