Like this idea for RTH?

Posted this on the DJI Forum. They said they'd forward it to their R&D department. (Whatever "R&D" is) Just wanted to post and see if anyone here has any thoughts on the idea.

R&D=Research and Development.
You can do that with Phantoms and is nice.

This 'feature' is available for the Phantom 3 series, they have NO obstacle avoidence.
Drones with obstacle avoidance have to fly heading forward in order for it to work (obstacle avoidance is active during RTH by default).
Maybe it's already possible if you disable obstacle avoidance.
