Limited flight

I am a new pilot. Flying a pro platinum. I was flying with clearance, inside a geo fenced area at an altitude of about 80ft. The drone was out about 1500 ft but I still had a visual on it when I got a message that I had reached maximum flight distance and it literally would not move forward. Does anyone know

It sounds like the clearance granted was limited which I believe makes sense. From what I have seen on YouTube videos that cover LAANC you don't get blanket clearance - it's always restricted to one degree or another.

Did you use LAANC to get clearance?

I got it through the dji go4 app. I am about 2000 ft from a grass strip airport. On the map the geo fence goes out about a mile around the strip.

I don't use GJIGO4 anymore, but if I recall correctly there used to be a maximum distance setting in the app...is yours maybe set to 1500 ft. ??
