I wanted to share this for the sake of info to others. I used Litchi on a recent flight.
Did an "epic" flight with Mini 1 and, on the way back, very low battery reserve. I did a controlled landing (instead of a crash landing) while I still had few percentage remaining and able to see the camera video transmission. Then the video camera transmission went dead literally immediately after my landing.
How did I find my Mini? I used the map view, which showed the remote controller and the drone. I walked, following the direction of movement of my remote control icon relative to the drone icon, on the Litchi map. It was like the game "getting warmer, getting warmer,...it is nearby !"
And, low and behold, there was my Mini. Essentially "0%" battery. I suppose there was just a tiny amount of power left to transmit gps and frequency. I thought I lost it, too. It did help that I had a bright color " foam skin" on my Mini, as well.
