litchi crashing on android

Hi, i posted this on fb but wasnt able to get any answers so i figured id post here. I recently installed litchi on a huawei phone, running android 7.0, after it was recommended by so many people. Each time i open the app, it crashes almost immediately. There are no apps running in the background and i have tried this after the remote and drone were on , as well as without it connected to the remote and still no success. Do you have any suggestions to fix this?
I emailed litchi but i have not heard back yet.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the application and rebooted the phone ?

Have you tried isolating the problem to your Huawei by trying Litchi on another android device ?

On the net there have been several issues discussed around nougat 7.0, many litchi users have down graded to marshmallow
