Hi, drone pilots, living in a Dji NFZ-Authorization zone i fill in the form at the Flysafe DJI - The World Leader in Camera Drones/Quadcopters for Aerial Photography, and seconds after i get the unlock code and ready to fly with the M2Z and the Dij GO4 app.
However when i want to use Litchi after a restart the AC doesn' t startup and shows on the controllerscreen NFZone!
So i suppose Dji authorization zone unlocks are useless when switching to Litchi??
Anyone can confirm this, or has a work around?

Unlock the drone in DJI Go 4 then switch to Litchi. Take off in DJI Go 4 and then switch if you have to

I would be worried the the app will shut you down if your in a NFZ. Don’t know if that’s possible...... meaning if you took off and hovered, then switched.... would or could it shut down the rotors? Guessing you’ve tried this! Lol.

You can turn off your controller and the drone will just sit there waiting for control signal to be re-established (and RTH if you take too long).
Closing the app does nothing to the drone ... you can still fly it without the app.

Yes... and I guess RTH would be short if the connection was changed at hover. Just goofy. Lol. Good luck!
I’m still trying to see the advantage of using something other then the real DJI app.

For general flying and photography, the DJI Go4 app is best and all that most flyers would need.
There are apps that have different and specialised features for tasks that the Go app does not do or does not do well.
If you want/need those specialised features, then there is an advantage.

Might be something at some point! I’ll check it out. Thanks

The DJI Go 4 app kinda stinks. It doesn’t let you customize the C1 and C2 buttons nor the 5D pad with anything other than a few very limited options.

A lot of it comes down to customization honestly. I like that I can assign course lock (does DJI Go even have course lock for M2Z?? Idk) to either a C button or the 5D pad and can start course lock without taking me hands off the sticks and it doesn’t clutter my screen.

Litchi doesn’t encrypt flight records so they much easier to handle.

Litchi just seems to want to work how you want it to where DJI Go 4 just seems to always fight me.

Nope... I don’t know of course lock feature. Just like poi

I doNt like how you can’t set up the buttons better for photo vs video. Or other useful features. I agree. I’ll have to check it out. Can you go back and fourth? Wait... if you have to start with the DJI then switch. I guess you might be able.

I switch back and forth all the time. I don’t even close the one I’m not using, I just start up the one I want to use. This is iOS, though. On Android I hear you have to force close one before opening the new one

So... SC would have to force close... using my iPhone It would be smooth.
So, ok..... just answered the problem to the OP! He’s using crystal sky. That’s android based.
Just wondering.... do you have a stock remote and IOS you can try!? If you run the apps on the IOS yet configure the crystal sky as the secondary screen, might work!? Or am I off base!?

DJI doesn't encrypt the logs recorded and stored on your phone, only the ones stored in the AC. Most of the time the RC copy is sufficient, unless you had disconnects/power loss you are looking to diagnose.

The mobile device text logs are encrypted so you have to feed them through a service that knows the encryption key. They are txt files but try opening them in a text editor. You’ll get a bunch of jibberish.

The Litchi records are unencrypted csv files don’t there is no need to feed them through a 3rd party service. They can directly be imported into something like excel or google sheets. You could even open them in a text editor and find the record your are looking for if you really wanted to

I've heard as far as NFZ's go, if you fly in one, or more appropriately around one & the RTH must cross through it that it won't. You'll get a message your RTH will cross a NFZ. So if the drone loses signal for some reason, it will hover & eventually just land & that could be a bad location such as a lake or highway. So in Litchi you have the option to compete the mission, so in such a scenario, your flight plan should either fly around such NFZ's or retrace its flight path. And regardless, you should always have your final WP near your take off point. Just my $0.02...

That's possible but I don't think that's the case. I don't think it's actually text to begin with but rather coded data to keep the data size small.

There’s probably some compression involved but never the less they have to be decoded before they can be used.

Litchi Flight records are usable right off the bat was my point. Doing any kind of batch processing of DJI Go 4 logs presents road blocks. Either have to manually decode them all manually or purchase a paid service like AirData to do it.

With Litchi I just drop the records in to a folder on my PC and have Excel with automatically combine the new data with my existing data so I can track trends over time.
