Hi team,
I am trying to use the lost my drone feature
mavic pro
DJ4 go 4 up to date
smartphone lenovo g4 android 6.0.1
or Samsung tablet android 7

Pressing red arrow has no effect when Mavic is Power ON
To get access to 2nd menu "beep ESC or turn led On"
i have to power down the mavic
Which is a non-sens no beep or Led if powered off !!!

To get access to "beep and led " menu
i have to;

power down Mavic
Hit red arrow access to beep or Led menu OK !
Power on Mavic
then beep is activated on demand.

By this way this feature is absoluttly useless ;-(

any idea to fix that ?

Cheers

I think you're referring to "Find My Drone." Maybe it is different in languages other than English.
What version of GO 4 do you have? What firmware version on your Mavic, controller and batteries?

Could be that DJI screwed up the implementation. Seems like many of the lost drone reports on the forum involve RC disconnects, "fly aways", has been missing for hours/days, or other situations where the drone ends up powered down which renders the beep/light feature useless anyway.

At least the "Aircraft Missing Coordinates" seems to work.

you are right it is the "Find my (lost) drone " feature ;-)

dj4 go 4.1.8
version ,RC 01.03.1000
aircraft db,app db 01.00.01.05
batteries rev ??

"Aircraft Missing Coordinate" is at same menu level ,so no access until Power down Mavic.

only solution seems to be checking last log flight.

not easy to find when lost in wheat field

is there any free (or not ) app which give live Gps coordinate.

thanks

.

OK, I took my Mavic out, launched from my front yard, flew over my house and "crashed" (really, I just landed it) about 300' away in my back yard. I considered it "lost" at that point and went to "Find My Drone." As you said, there were no coordinates and no options to turn on beep or lights. What I realized was this: as long as the Mavic and the RC were still communicating, GO 4 did not consider the drone as lost! So, I turned off the RC for about 30 seconds, turned it back on, went back to "Find My Drone" and , VOILA, there were the GPS coordinates of my drone. Once the RC connected with the drone, the beep and lights options became available.

So, I still think the beep and lights thing is pretty worthless and more of a gimmick than anything.

Ok , you got it

So the correct sequence is

Unexpected Crash or Landing somewhere .

Turn off TX
!!!!!!! keep DJ4 go 4 app open at "Find my Drone" !!!!!!
Turn on TX
Beep feature and Gps coordinate become available .

Gps Coordinate is not only to the landing (crashing) point, it is live data.

it change if Mavic is moved

Ability to copy and past to google map .

Thanks a lot for test

I don't know about GPS info being a live update; I didn't test that. I didn't test copy and paste to Google, either.

Remember, the beep and lights feature will only work if the remote is able to reconnect to the Mavic. Same would be true for GPS updates. In many crash and unexpected landing scenarios, connection to the drone is lost, so all you will have will be the last GPS coordinates sent from the drone to the RC.
