Hi fellow Pilots,

I just crashed my Mavic 2 Zoom, flew directly into a roof, 100% pilot error.

I didn't purchased DJI care refresh, i know now that it was a great mistake !

Well it ended up with a broken gimbal (which i never found again :-( ... ), a cracked middle body, a rear right arm bracket and front cover to need replacement.

It got a scratch on the very middle of the bottom infrared sensor which i assume is no big deal.
Some minor scratches on the left front vision sensor are a bit concerning.

Right after the crash, i hovered the mavic for a few minutes and seemed to fly ok.

Then i got home, and teared it down for further investigation and and everything seemed ok except a few dings (less than a few tenth of millimeters ) on the metallic cooler on the main board.

I ordered parts and a new gimbal to fix it.

Here is the real problem : now it won't take off, i got multiples errors : no gps, no imu, no internal storage access, and no vision sensing.

I just checked the flat cable between the main board and and gps module ,as all the default system are on the gps module, connection and flat cable seems ok.

Can someone help me ?

Thanks !!!

I would begin by double checking the cable, since it is very easy to end up with tiny tears in the corners of the cable which are quite hard to see.

Do you have a multimeter to check for voltage on the test pads of the GPS/IMU module? If it's not the cable then I would look at the core board. You mentioned there were some dents on the heatsink of the core board, is that correct? If so it could have suffered damage. Hard to know what to suggest without having it in front of me...

Thanks for the praise guys!

OP, the errors you are getting have different genesis. Can you turn it on again and post exactly what error messages you are getting? You mentioned that you have no GPS, no IMU but those arent error messages, those are symptoms. How do you know you dont have vision sensing? Error message? Tried calibrating them?

"no gps, no imu, no internal storage access, and no vision sensing."

Thank you guys for your inputs !!

First, I did swap the main body and mounted the gimbal, my soldering skills sucks !! i lost the rear LEDs ! that made me decide that it wasn't a good idea that I longer keep on try to repair by myself and sent the drone in a french repair shop (not DJI).

Technician found out that the GPS module connector on the main core board burnt between two pins, he still needs to investigate further what is the cause of the short circuit.

My question is : do you guys think it is possible to swap the connector only, I was thinking that maybe a micro soldering specialist like a pc/phone motherboard repair shop could do that ?
