I had the camera set on 4K 60 frames and when I played it on my PC it studered using VLC or Windows media player. Is it just a case that I need to import into video editor and set playback FPS?

have you played any 4k 60 FPS video before on your computer could be the graphics card is not up to the job

Did you record using h.265? Some computers have a hard time with this due to insufficent hardware, specifically graphics card as mentioned above.

Older processors also seem to be an issue. There are a lot of great processors and video cards out there that can't seem to process play them at all due to the age/technology. I had a great gaming system but an older CPU, upgraded my video card and still couldn't play them until I ended up with a better processor.
  • Intel 6th generation “Skylake” or newer CPUs
  • AMD 6th generation “Carizzo” or newer APUs
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950, 960, or newer graphics cards
  • AMD Radeon R9 Fury, R9 Fury X, R9 Nano, or newer graphics cards
What Is HEVC H.265 Video, and Why Is It So Important for 4K Movies?
