Why did they replace the ND32 with the ND4 in the collection?

Instruction says to remove Mavic Air UV filter that's on aircraft. I unscrew ring off, clear lens is still attached to camera. Is this correct? Has anyone unscrewed their ring off does your lens stay on camera or does it come off? PolarPro Air ND filter attaches on without issues even though clear lens is still attached.

** UPDATE ** : PolarPro emailed me back they said it's correct.
