Hello! New to the forum. I have a phantom 3 but plan to update to a Mavic soon. As an amateur radio operator I am very interested in the antenna mods being discussed and have some questions:
1. Can someone explain the function of the radio links? Obviously have control signals going out, and video and telemetry coming back. Which antennas are used for what and what frequencies do they use?
2. All of the antenna mod discussions focus on improving the 2.4 GHz link(s). The specs on the Mavic says the controller also uses 5.1-5.8 GHz. What is it used for and why no mention of antenna or boost improvement for this frequency?
