I’m getting messages that my onboard cache is full. How can I clear it?

Perhaps front page of the app ->album -> cache and delete as required or connect it to a computer and delete the go into the DJI folder etc. etc.

not sure what onboard cache you are referring too
the MM does not have any built in storage other than the SD card that is used to store the pics and video that you record
the cache you are talking about are as @PhiliusFoggg said are what is stored in the app on your device
unless you use the cached data it is better to switch off cache to device in settings in the app
as you are just storing a low res image of whats on the SD card
