Mavic pro iPad/ tablet mount tightening nut

Well after 3 years I finally had a Eureka moment....
Lol..
I have forever been plagued with those plastic nuts not getting tight enuf on the iPad/ tablet mount...
Well since I’m a retired Pipefitter I had tons of Teflon tape.
In a sudden moment of clarity it came to me that if I wrapped Teflon tape around the ball that the plastic tightener screw on to I can
FINALLY eliminate the slack that has been a thorn in my side..

If you wrap enuf Teflon tape around the ball and then install mount back onto it and tighten plastic fastener your slack/ sloppy holder is cured..
I had to keep adding and trying until I got the desired result...
I have included pics and if you are like me and fought the slop, I have the cure..

Try it and let us know....

I use the iPad mini 5 and idk if a larger tablet
Will work or not with this idea...
It sure tightened mine up nicely but be careful tightening as I’m sure u already know..

I wish I had a metal ball on the mount along with a metal locknut..
Then I could REALLY torque on it..
Lol..

Yup... works. Thanks for the tip.

(I think my plastic ball nut was bottoming out so it wouldn't get any tighter. The tape solves that.)

I also applied electrical tape and actually think it’s much better..
Doesn’t take but one wrap for me tho

If Teflon tape doesn’t do it then ELECTRICAL
TAPE will!!!
One wrap and your good
