Is anyone aware of a utility that can parse the video comments file?

I’m getting tired of manually keeping track of ISO, Shutter Speed, EV, etc. recently I’ve started using the Video Comments. It’s great because you can just shoot and not think about it. However, the Video Comments are stored as a separate text file. So I still have to open them and copy paste the relevent data into my footage’s metadata. It’s a lot easier and a thousand times more reliable than my old method of writing everything down in a log during flight... but it’s still a hassle.

So has anyone found a utility to automate the process?

Even a utility that strips out all the jibberish (ie framecounters and formatting tags like font-size) and generates a clean text file would help. I could write my own little script for this, but I’m fundamentally a lazy person, so I thought I’d check here first.
