Metadata into video files

Hello people, in few days I'll receive the Mavic Air 2.
I'd like to know, please, if someone can help me answer a simple question:
are there some metadata regarding the position, speed etc, into the video file that drone takes?
I mean, when I fly and record a video from the drone, what I get?
An XML (or something similar) and a video file?
Or the video file contains info about the flight into metadata fields?

An XML (or something similar) and a video file?

You'll get a sidecar file along with the video file with the extension .SRT. This is a plain text file with entries that looks like this:

Does the M2P produce this sidecar file ? I couldn't see any in the SD card.

You have to enable it in the settings: Caption ON

If you want to view the "Video Subtitles" data in sync with the video, you can playback the video in VLC Player and enable subtitles.

I am afraid there is no subtitile track to be enabled in the footage taken by my M2P :

I'd like to support the Mavic Air 2 in DroneViewer, but I don't have a Mavic Air 2 just yet (I'm going to trade in my Mavic Pro). If someone here could send me a short MA2 video captured with Video Caption mode ON, I could make it work. Here's a screenshot from DroneViewer using the Autel EVO. Thanks!

Yes! I ended up buying a Mavic Air 2 to test and it has quickly become my go-to drone. DroneViewer version 1.2.3 adds support for the MA2 and Autel EVO II. Here is a screenshot. I like how the MA2 stores lat/lon points out to 6-digits of precision, which makes georeferencing more accurate.

G'day all, I am hoping/ wondering if anyone can provide an answer to whether any of these drones provide the camera angle/direction within the meta data I want to be able to display this on a map.
