Just noticed the new FW (0600) for the mini too and wondered if it brought anything worth having? The description gives away nothing.

My suspicion, too, is that its primary function is to close a few hacking loopholes.

I did the update when I unboxed my mini and I would like to increase some parameters.

Unfortunately I've never seen a way to downgrade. I've made a point not to flash fw 0600 for this very reason as it seems to bring no real benefits, but also locks you out of some nice aspects of earlier firmwares
