I will be visiting Germany for Oktoberfest in Sept.

What are the interesting sites to drone over in Munich and Berlin?

I'm planning on going to "Neuschwanstein castle" one day and fly near the beautiful castle.

Any tips on take off locations would be great.

Just for your Info: During the Oktoberfest there will be a TFR in effect above Munich.
Actually you will be grounded in Munich. You have to go outside of the city to legally fly your drone.
There are plenty of nice places outside Munich.

And you can be pretty sure that there will be strict enforcement. I would not take the chances.

And flying near Neuschwanstein will also be a no-go from what I read in a German forum: the whole premises of the castle (this includes quite some surrounding forest etc.) is a designated no-fly zone.

Neuschwanstein Castle is on the edge of the Ammergebirge nature reserve; it is therefore not permitted to fly model planes or drones /multicopters.

Looking at the huge number of visitors (~1.4 million per year = up to ~6,000 daily) I do see a good reason...
