So, flying around the back patio yesterday with all sensors on, something spooked the Mavic from below, and it shot upward into a tree limb, even though I was holding down the left joystick.

After trimming some leaves off my tree, it finally came back down to around 6' and hovered. I couldn't get it to land, so I instinctively (or stupidly) reached up and grabbed it, turned it over and it turned off.

Lessons learned: Fly in wide open spaces, or turn off sensors in tight quarters. I'm still not 100% sure what made the Mavic climb up into the tree, but will definitely not be flying around the back patio anytime soon.

Thankfully, no damage to the bird. Props are a little dirty, look more like lawnmower blades right now from the tree leaves, but no visible damage. I may swap them out with a backup pair I have just to be sure.

Lucky for sure!
