Howdy.

I am in Melbourne an bought the Mavic Combo last week. I took it out for a run today (best day all week!) to test it out. Here are a few shots to get started.

If anyone else has any tips I would love to hear from you. I am an experienced pilot but as this thing has a brilliant camera it's best I use it properly.

Cheers,

I see you like water/sky shots. I would advise maybe getting a CPL filter to make the most of the polarisation effect.

Other than that, just have fun :)

I took the Mavic out today. Yes, it such a stable craft. It's lots of fun. I feel free flying it and just enjoying the sights.

A ND16 filter is a absolute must in your kind of sun. It can probably stay on for most flights in daylight. Maybe even an ND32 for the really bright days. You will want to get and keep that shutter speed at maximum twice the frame rate.
That is, if you want to shoot video as well.

Thanks for the advice. I will get on to that today. The perspective this thing gives you is great. Cheers!
