Pro is coming Tues wanted to know if the updating issues have been corrected. Saw some horror stories about it. Also, what 3rd party apps (litchi, etc) are the most popular/reliable with you all. Any setup tips or things that could go wrong would be much appreciated. Thanks

Start slow - just use DJI software cause if you crash with something else, they won't cover u if its pilot error - just follow the manual and you will be fine - remember baby steps and start in a wide open space.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I fly planes (foamies) so hopefully the skills will transfer.

It all works - RTFM

If it’s pilot error you won’t have warranty coverage no matter what software you use.

Flying with third party software is not, in itself, reason for DJI to deny warranty. It is instances where you can’t recover your drone for the onboard logs to be retrieved that you may have an issue. That is simply because there is no way to verify what the cause of the incident was (DJI won’t accept 3rd party app logs for analysis).

Then what is dji care refresh for. Some crashes would be pilot error. Not expecting or wanting to crash but what if.................

DJI care is a different thing- my response was specifically with respect to warranty.

For DJI care you need to return the wreckage for the policy to operate but yes, operator error is covered.
