Curious if anyone has tried to use the mavic with evo props?

Why would you even try?
There's nothing to be gained from it.

You say nothing to gain but that is how you learn to improve is by trying new things the reason i am curious the evo 2 is extremely quite so it is a combination of motor structures and blade design. I am curious if the design would enhance the abilities of the mavic or disrupt its stability. Example if you turn on the propeller cage function without propellers you will have a shaky mavic.

Why would you use Evo props designed for a completely different drone/motor/weight combination.
If you believe you have the answer to that please proceed as you feel best and report data/outcome to this thread.

DJI have a team of propulsion engineers who have produced a tuned propulsion system with matched motors, ESCs and propellers.
The performance of the drone is governed by the flight controller, not by the individual components.
Do you think that slapping random parts on your Mavic is going to miraculously work better?
If you do, by all means go ahead.

Correct and also why would you use platinum propellers for a mavic pro. Some where along the way they were able to find a better more efficient design for sound generated and overall efficiency. I was just curious if the possibility of a more quiet solution. I thought this would be the place to discuss the possibilities not for a multitude of reasons why not do something that could potentially benefit the performance of the mavic. I went to college for art and design and attended school with the president of hallmark school of aeronautics. I am almost certain that there is positively no way to be 100% certain that the design that is used is the only one that is the most significantly silent choice. Perhaps they have a more quite design that doesn't meat the "27" minutes of flight time.... just thought it would spark some open minded conversation as to the potential of an alternative design. Fpv quads have a number of variations of props and each one shines for a particular reason. Speed, stability, freestyle acrobatics. I figured if those quads could have options why not the mavic pro?

I think you are right to be curious about any alternative combinations that may improve our DJI products - after all how else is any real progress ever made?

I don't see any reason why someone should not at least be applauded for experimenting and reporting any results good or bad here in these forums.

I say Bravo DC for having a healthy outlook and foreword thinking - should be more of it!

So back to trying new things. Those people who are not apposed to getting inside the mavic pro. I purchased the replacement shell and painted it with bright white diamond spray reflective and glow powder added to clear top coat. No noticeable weight difference i did sand the pieces. But top coat is 2x and has made the body stronger than before. Check out the finished product.
