While much of our province is currently on fire, it is good to see that drone owners are respecting the rules/laws. There have not been any reports of drone interference which reflects responsible pilots here in B.C. Kudos to all....let's keep praying that this disaster ends soon so the 40,000+ people who were evacuated so far can get on with rebuilding their lives.

They are using drones at the request of some local governments to film and assess damage in areas like Ashcroft/Cache Creek. Lots of opportunities to get some some good press for a change. Let's hope the knuckleheads keep staying home. I think it's going to be a long, smoky summer - time to buy that PL filter.

Yes, a few sanctioned flights in areas where the fire has finished wreaking its havoc. In Kamloops here, the air index is at 9 today...definitely an indoor day. No point flying, can't see more than 2 city blocks.:)
