Hi, after 3 days of flight with my new Mavic Pro, today when I powered on and wanted to shoot something, DJi GO 4 reported "No SD Card".
Also camera has no focus at all, and I cannot switch between still pictures and film. The image transmission is laggy.
I formatted the card in computer, changed the card with the one that came with the drone, changed the usb cable, but no luck. Tried to connect via wifi to my phone, same issues (no sd card, no focus).
The drone is responsive, it can fly and everything looks normal, but cannot record.
I have the latest firmware - updated 3 days ago when I receive the drone.
Please advise!

In the app try reset camera.
I don't think it will help though so next delete the app and download again.
What device are you using, perhaps it is struggling to run the app which is quite demanding.
Have as little as possible running in the background

Already done that. I even reset my phone (S7 edge) to factory settings and reinstalled DJI GO 4.
Same issue with Litchi and no image at all.

Sure you did not accidentally insert it upside down. Eject and try and reseat the card. There is a small image that depicts the side the notch on the sd card goes.

It doesn't enter upside down, it enters with contacts upward. Anyway, the camera should focus even without SD card.
Also tried with the card provided by the DJI (16Gb).

Agreed, but sometimes you can never be to sure. Doesn't sound good. Any chance it was a vendor you can swap it out as defective like Amazon? DJI will fix it for free, but that can take a couple weeks.

Ok, today is one of those days it seems. Drove a long way to the beach, finally! Been trying to get there for weeks but couldn't find the time. So I get my gear out, get ready, seals are there too, all good but....there's a problem. Blurry display, camera settings unresponsive, no values shown and no SD card recognized. Multiple restarts, card in/out, wiped contacts, different battery, waiting, prayers - nothing. Quick check online, found the tip about the cables. By coincidence I've had three different USB cables with me. Tried them all out - nothing. So I went home, obviously rather frustrated. On my way home I remembered that I had used the card with an adaptor in my PC last night and edited directly from it. I wrote the exported files back on the card (my PC's HD is maxed out...). What if Windows screwed with the card's file system and made it unrecognizable to the Mavic? Back home I plugged the card back in the PC and reformatted it into FAT32, didn't name it and pulled it out as soon as it was finished. Then I put it back in the Mavic and et Voila, no problems. It either was a corrupted file system or it didn't like the exported avi files I saved on it. Either way, problem solved. Lesson learned: Always check everything functions flawlessly before you head off somewhere remote - even if it had worked last night. Oh and for general info, yes it seems the camera system uses some of the capacity of the card as RAM since it was completely non functional. Hope this helps.

I found that any editing of the SD card on my PC resulted in very odd problems with the Mavic. Deleting files was ok, but renaming them on the SD was a problem. It even resulted in erroneous gimbal problems.

I learned my lesson....don't mess with the SD card!

Does your MP getting hot after 20" when you power it up indoors? The fan is started to blow hot air from inside and I almost can't put my hands on the heat sink.
Is that normal?
Anyway, after I tried with 2 more SD cards, restore to factory settings, changed the USB cable, etc, I gave up. Tomorrow I will return it to my local vendor and hope for a quick replace.

Did you format the card into FAT32 in the PC as described above and left the name field empty?Did you then re-format it in the bird?
The heat is fine, btw. As with many electronic devices with heat sinks and/or metal chassis, you can start getting worried when it DOESN'T feel hot anymore because that means the heat is no longer removed from the source and may cause overheating issues inside.

I've contacted my vendor and he said to send it back, and I send it. In Europe there is only 2 warranty services, one in Germany and the other one in Netherland. Normally it take 3 days to arrive in Germany (I live in Romania), one for replacement and another 3 to come back. Thank God it doesn't need to go to China...
I hope in 10 days I will be able to fly again.
