I'd say the buzzard's "obstacle avoidance" deserves most of the credit.
Still, it's cool to see the mavic's OA activate when it's supposed to, instead of when it gets spooked by the sun.

You are lucky that hawk didn't grab your MP. They have been known to do that.

Same thing here, but with ducks. Like TrayBoz said, probably a combo of the MP obstacle avoidance and the duck's as well! Still, pretty amazing how quick it reacts. This is why I love the Mavic so much!

Here in the UK it's a buzzard. It's a captive bred which was reared by my friend and released here 18months ago.

There's a difference between chasing and following. I was following the bird.....my craft is barely capable of chasing it. The bird was released here 18months ago by a friend of mine. The bird knows me and my various craft well and this is the only occasion he has ever displayed such behaviour. We chalked it down to him having a bad day, lol
