I want to design and 3D print a mount for the Moverio BT-300 control to fit in the Mavic controller's arms the way a phone would. What is the ideal thickness? My Wunderphone is .325" and fits well, although it might be a little more snug than necessary. Looking at the specs, iPhones range from .280" to .300." I found a post that said the maximum the arms will accept without modification is .340." Is there a "sweet spot" that will make it secure yet not too hard to install and remove? Thank you.

Go with 7mm (thickness of my Huawei P9, which is secure without being a tight fit).

Just remember to accommodate finishing in your calculations - if you were to use a raw 3D printed surface against the rubber grips, I expect it would rip them to shreds.

Good point, thanks.
