This May I had a chance to visit the beautiful land of Oregon.
My friend and I travelled South from Seattle, WA to Columbia River Gorge, then down to Silver Falls, then West to the coast, and finally back to Seattle.

Granted, I didn't have too many chances to fly my Mavic 2 Pro. Our camp on Columbia river was constantly passed by low-flying choppers (sometimes even by Chinooks!), many of the waterfalls were closely surrounded by trees and crowded by a lot of people. And the coast was *windy*, so windy that I would not probably even be able to land without crashing. So I mostly shot from the ground (iPhone/DSLR).

Still, I managed to take up in the air a few times, at least when there was no people, no trees and no strong wind.

Soaring above the clouds

Just south of Pacific City, Hwy 101 climbs the hills that were blanketed by the ocean fog bank.
This additional elevation gave me an opportunity to pierce the fog and find myself above the clouds.
