Without going into specifics, it is being recognised that disposable technology is the future. Buying a formally procured and approved drone means it is typically 2017 technology and cost to you, an Army Colonel, is USD 5000+. It is almost certainly overspecified for your needs. But buying ten of bugs 5w for USD 1300 gives you then times the real wold capability for quick battlefield recon. Buying five Mavic Airs probably gives you superior single drone capability to the procured one! And you have in case 1 nine you can lose or crash for a quarter of the budget. And in case 2 four which are disposable, or can be used for other stuff, for the same budget..... Go figure...
